Beverage Bliss With Serenitea

Milk tea is just plain love. I could not stand plain tea, but when infused with milk, it’s just another story. Creamy tea. Oh, how I love it.

I always go crazy for milk tea. I remember when milk tea was first introduced in the Philippine market that I drank so much Quickly milk teas, and when Lipton powdered milk teas were launched here, I stocked up for my daily breakfasts, and when I went to Shanghai for a vacation, I made it a point to try every milk tea stand that I’d see – inside convenience stores, or just those at the corner.

Another memory I have with milk tea, was when I lived in Singapore for six months to study makeup.I would try whatever food there , so as to immerse myself with their culture, that includes to get acquainted with Singaporean tastebuds. But that’s not entirely my point. During my stay there, my good friend Dee introduced me to Koi, a specialty milk tea place in Toa Payoh that’s always flocked with people because of their very good milk tea’s. I love Koi’s milk teas.

Fast forward, I found something very much familiar with Koi, here in Manila. From various Plurker friends constantly raving about Serenitea, I could not help but get curious, and try it myself as I am an incessant milk tea lover.

MYOH Turns 5 : Make Your Own Havaianas 2010

Flip flops are simply huge in the Philippines. Would that be because we love the native tsinelas so much?

Well, I just love flip flops. They give me much, much comfort when my feet get tired with heels too high, and they just give me that laid back feel. I wear flip flops whenever I go to the mall, feel lazy, or just go somewhere near. In other words, it’s a staple in my life.

Havaianas makes such gorgeous flip flops that elevated flip flops from household footwear to fashion statements. I can’t believe it’s been five years since Havaianas has taken the Philippine market by storm! I was a very, very happy girl awhile ago to be able to get a pair of my very own personalized Havaianas during the Make Your Own Havaianas 2010 which runs from April 22- 26 at the Rockwell Tent.

Make Your Own Havaianas is a very unique event ( only in the Philippines! ) that you get to customize your own Havaianas – choose the color and style of your sole, straps, and even get to choose embellishments such as special pins. I remember when I was in Singapore last year, my friends there would tell me how much they love my Havaianas, which I got from last year’s Make Your Own Havaianas Event. It was all blinged up, with the perfect colors for me.

Yummy Chinese Adventure : North Park

North Park must be one of my favorite restaurants. Why? Well, I have tons of reasons. First, it’s so darn near my place. Second it closes late – much, much later than the restaurants along the whole strip of Banawe. Restos along Banawe just close early, le sigh. Case and point – one of my favorite restos, Tasty Dumplings closes around 8:30 pm – 9pm. My goodness.

Other reasons actually include why I love North Park as a restaurant. Haha! Well, the prices are affordable here, for the most expensive dish is around 300 bucks already, and the last reason why I love North Park? Yummy, yummy, yummy. Chinese food. Exquisite honest to goodness Chinese food. I have Chinese tastebuds, and I shall forever salivate over, and pig out on Chinese food. Any time of the day. No getting tired of it. Haha!

Anyway, after doing some late shopping, my folks and I crashed in North Park Banawe to eat our dinner, which was coincidentally, my sister Candy’s birthday dinner. Well, let’s see what we had!
